of BCG vaccine for superficial bladder cancer
The authors present a case report of a patient with granulomatous prostatitis that was induced by a previous treatment with intravesical
administration of BCG as part of comprehensive management for superficial bladder cancer. Granulomatous prostatitis is one of the
possible, uncommon complications of BCG administration. Its manifestations include an elevated PSA level and a finding of nodules on
digital rectal examination of the prostate, which may pose a differential diagnostic problem in distinguishing it from prostate cancer.
