Urinary tract infection in children and prevention

Urinary tract infection in children is a common complication in childhood. With exception of early infancy UTI affects more often girls.

The aim of prevention is to prevent the recurrence of UTI. Antibiotics prophylaxis is now critically discussed. In the prevention of UTI are

used cranberry, probiotics and Uro-Vaxom®.
