The right differentiation of patients based on the degree of their disorders’ risk is an essential precondition for the appropriate use of
secondary prevention. In fact, 75 per cent of patients’ disorders classify as low risk. Such cases can be treated according to the principles
of general metaphylaxis. Only 25 per cent of patients face a high risk of further attacks. Consequently, it is imperative to identify
these cases in time and perform additional metabolic tests. Having correctly identified the individual biochemical risk in these patients,
a specific metaphylaxis approach using suitable drugs must be taken.
