Malakoplakia is a rare type of the chronic infection of the urinary tract caused by atypical immunity reaction. We present a case of patient
with bilateral hydronephrosis and renal insufficiency, with cystoscopic finding of unspecific tumor-like focuses in the bladder as the cause
of the obstruction of both ureters. Malakoplakia was found by histological investigation of the resected tissue. The article summarizes
basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in this uncommon urological disease.
