Pioglitazon a mírné zvýšení rizika karcinomu močového měchýře Informace SÚKL

Evropská léková agentura (EMA) ukončila hodnocení rizika karcinomu močového měchýře ve vztahu k léčbě pioglitazonem. Dostupné

údaje ukazují, že toto riziko je mírně zvýšené, nepřevyšuje však přínos léčby u pacientů s diabetes mellitus 2. typu, pokud

jim pioglitazon zajišťuje dobrou kompenzaci. Do SPC léčivých přípravků s obsahem pioglitazonu (v ČR je to Actos a Competact) je

přidána kontraindikace u pacientů s karcinomem močového měchýře současným nebo anamnestickým a nejasná makroskopická

hematurie. Léčení pacienti mají ihned hlásit lékaři, pokud zjistí krev v moči nebo jiné příznaky, podezřelé z možnosti výskytu

karcinomu měchýře (bolest při močení, náhlá nucení na močení). Lékaři by měli při nově zjištěném karcinomu močového měchýře pomýšlet i na možný vztah k léčbě pioglitazonem.
