PENILE PROSTHESES: CURRENT PLACE IN THE TREATMENT OF ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION AND OWN LONG-TERM EXPERIENCE

Author brings information on current role and place of penile prosthesis in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in this article. This message is based both on literature and large own experiences (Department of Urology, University Hospital Brno was the first place in Czech Republic, which introduced an implantation of the inflatable penile prosthesis into armamentarium of erectile dysfunction treatment). Information on this treatment modality are important especially for younger generation urologists, which could not meet it so far, however it is a treatment modality, which importance and need rises at present time.
