Kidney trauma could have serious impacts from the short term, even long term aspects. There are risk factors worsening acuteand late course and final results of the renal trauma. Congenital abnormalities, coexisting diseases and associated medicationbelong to the most important factors. Patients with renal insufficiency or solitary kidney need special care. We always have tobalance risks associated with selection of the adequate diagnostic or therapeutic option.
