Diagnostics and classification of renal parenchymal masses – a brief summary

MUDr. David Ondra
Urologické oddělení Uherskohradišťské nemocnice a.s.

After finding a renal parenchymal mass by an imaging method, we have to establish whether the mass is benign or malignant and

decide whether it should be observed only or managed by intervention. This paper briefly summarizes classification, diagnostics

and recommended treatment of renal masses.

Keywords: renal mass, cyst, solid mass, ultrasonography, computer tomography, magnetic resonance
