The article presents a case of 58 years old female with symptomatic leiomyosarcoma of the left renal vein. Tumor resection with partial
excision of the vascular wall was indicated. The surgery was uncomplicated and followed by rapid relief of symptoms. Local recurrence of
the tumor resulted in low back pain and was confirmed by CT as 17mm enhancing lesion eight months after the primary surgery. Diagnosed
recurrence was solved by the en bloc resection with left-radical nephrectomy followed by the adjuvant retroperitoneal radiotherapy.
