Interdisciplinary approach is a necessary and important for urologic patients in complex situation. Shortening time of hospitalization is a growing trend in modern medicine. A good co-operation between urologists, gynecologists, microbiologists, general practitioners and other physicians is an expedient and advisable also for the most common urologic problems (urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence etc.). New sophisticated technologies (for example daVinci® robots), minimally invasive techniques and most recent pharmacotherapy are demanding and require close co-operation with many specialists. This interdisciplinary approach can improve results especially in care about also most common urooncological disease (prostate cancer, kidney and bladder cancer). Lead position of experience urologists with comprehensive knowledge is very important in this medical team care about urological patients.
