Infekce močových cest 2.0: Jak na multirezistentní bakterie? MUDr. Marek Štefan, MBA Klinika infekčních nemocí a cestovní medicíny 2. LF UK a FN Motol, Praha Infekce močových cest (IMC) jsou jedny z nejčastějších bakteriálních infekcí v komunitní i nemocniční péči. Urinary tract infections 2.0: How to tackle multidrug-resistant bacteria Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are among the most common bacterial infections in both community and hospital care. UTIs are primarily caused by gram-negative bacteria, which have shown a significant increase in antibiotic resistance in recent years, particularly to beta-lactams. This resistance is mainly due to the production of various beta-lactamases, with the most significant being carbapenemases. The article provides an overview of current knowledge on different types of beta-lactam resistance and presents information on newly available beta-lactams that can overcome some of these resistance mechanisms. It also includes a practical approach to the treatment of UTIs caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria. Key words: urinary tract infections, antibiotics, resistence, carbapenemases. Nález Staphylococcus aureus, koaguláza negativních stafylokoků (kromě výše zmíněného S. saprophyticus) a různých korynebakterií většinou nepředstavuje infekci močových cest, ale kontaminaci vzorku, případně kolonizaci močového katétru. Staphylococcus aureus může být také nepřímým projevem probíhající stafylokokové bakteremie, při které dojde DECLARATIONS: Declaration of originality: The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
